My name is Neil Place, and I’m a Mental Performance Trainer.
Sports come with pressure, emotion, and constant change…challenges that don’t always get talked about. Whether it’s stress, low confidence, performance anxiety, or trouble staying focused, every athlete faces mental and emotional hurdles.
I work with young athletes to build the skills and awareness they need to meet those moments with confidence. Using a blend of mindfulness, mental skills training, and honest reflection, I help athletes develop resilience, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of self, on and off the field.
I help athletes grow into grounded, self-aware people who know how to meet challenges with clarity and purpose.
For parents, this means giving your athlete a space that supports their mental health and development as a whole person. For athletes, it means having someone in your corner who listens, challenges you, and helps you grow from the inside out.

Every athlete has their own story. That’s why I offer several levels of support designed to meet athletes where they are, from a one-time check-in to deep, ongoing performance work.
The Foundational Focus Package is the starting point for all new clients. This program lays the groundwork for mental performance by teaching the “Big 4” mental skills: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Goal-Setting, and Focus.
Here’s what it includes:
Initial setup session to create your individual plan and get started on the online platform
Four weekly 45-minute one-on-one sessions (one after each module) tailored to your unique experiences and needs
Three monthly follow-up sessions to support ownership of your mental skills, provide space for reflection, and make adjustments as you put your plan into action
Exclusive access to online learning modules with guided education, activities, and resources
A workbook to reinforce learning and track progress
Ongoing support through a secure chat platform for questions and check-ins
This package ensures every athlete builds lasting mental skills while also learning how to apply them in real life. The monthly check-ins create enough space for growth and practice while providing guided support to stay on track. At the end of the package, we will meet (with parents if applicable) to reflect and determine the next steps for continued growth.

For athletes ready to take their mental training to the next level or feel the need for ongoing sports counseling sessions, the Elite Performance Package offers 12 weeks of fully customized coaching and counseling. While the Foundational Focus Package (required to complete before this package) provides a structured introduction to mental skills, this package is completely individualized based on the athlete’s needs, challenges, and goals.
Athletes can choose between:
Weekly sessions (12 total) – $899
Biweekly sessions (6 total) – $599
These sessions allow for deep, personalized work that builds on previous lessons or expands into new mental performance strategies specific to the athlete’s sport, mindset, and aspirations. At the end of 12 weeks, we will reassess progress and discuss continued support options, such as monthly or biweekly check-ins.

Deeper, ongoing support for athletes committed to long-term growth and development (available after completing the Foundational Focus Package).
This package is designed to give younger athletes a fun, hands-on introduction to the mental side of sports. Over six 30-minute sessions, athletes learn one core mental skill each week, from managing nerves to building focus, through games, interactive exercises, and guided practice. Each session starts with a light, engaging check-in to make it enjoyable and age-appropriate.
